Initially started in 1981 as a part time venture, Bob Memmer did what few people can do, a master installer as well as salesperson but saw a need in Knoxville for a custom rug maker and binder. Being an innovative craftsman he decided to try this avenue out and after a few months boomed into a full time endeavor. That same year he hired Mark DeBord and over the next decade he trained and cultivated what would become his successor. In 1995 Mark acquired the business and has been expanding his specialties and continuing to please customers, some of which for over 30 years. In 2012 Mark hired his son John and saw the opportunity to expand once again from doing an occasional step runner to becoming the go-to guy for most of his customers in custom stair fabrication and installation. We celebrated our 40 year anniversary and look forward to 40 more.
